ARTISTIC APPROACH
"Imagination is good. Expressing it is even better!"
For me, this drive first took shape on paper before finally coming to life through cinema. But before all that, there are emotions: love, anger, joy, sadness… They are all vital! This is why I love exploring every genre and universe (my inspirations range from John Carpenter to Steven Spielberg and Christopher Nolan) striving to surprise and move from one extreme to another.
To become unclassifiable: that is my goal!
I believe cinema is a unique journey that must be felt. It is a deeply personal window into a vision, our emotions, and should be an invitation to reflection.
That said, emotion is nothing without a story. And it all begins with the blank page that is every new day. I have always seen the seeds of incredible stories in the most mundane aspects of daily life. In fact, I always imagine life as a movie theater: while music and solitude soothe me as a spectator, every sentence, observation, interaction, person, animal, or everyday object quickly becomes the start of an amazing tale. Every event in daily life triggers a chain reaction in my imagination.
However, it is important for me to channel all this imagination before it scatters. To do so, I like to structure everything, usually with something to eat or drink (who said I’m a Taurus?)in a place away from home, with my old computer. And while traveling remains an incredible source of inspiration, a simple impromptu coffee somewhere is just as interesting. Ideas can strike at any moment, but no panic! I record these 'little creatures' to rework them later. I’ve always thought that the day offers imagination, while the night allows us to craft it.
This is how my imagination first left its mark on paper with Darkstone, my first urban fantasy novel, followed by Farback, a sci-fi story inspired by Covid-19. It then took visual form with Jeux Infinis, an animated short film, and then with La Loi Des Sept, a darker short film.
Now that the imagination is in motion, the journey toward literary and cinematic universes, as unexpected as they are diverse has
only just begun…
